How much does it cost?
The base model is $92,995

Is the Vampire available as a kit?
Yes! We are now offering kits. Please visit the Purchase Info tab above for more information.

What comes on the base model?
The short answer — the base model has everything needed for day VFR flight. For the long answer — please visit the Options section by clicking on the tab above.

Is this the same plane as the Sadler Vampire Ultralight from the 1980's?
No, this is not the same plane, but it does share many of the same characteristics. Bill Sadler designed the original Sadler Vampire Ultralight in 1981. The Sadler Vampire LSA is an upgraded aircraft that incorporates many of the design elements Bill developed during his work with Turkish Aerospace Industries throughout the 1990's.

Can I put a jet engine in it? (We really do get asked this a lot)
In the factory certified model...um, no. In the kit version it's your call.

Is the Sadler Vampire LSA an SLSA or an ELSA?
Both are available. If we build it for you at our factory, it is available as an SLSA. If you build it as a kit, it can be either an ELSA or an experimental home-built model.

Is the Sadler Vampire LSA street legal?
No.  The Vampire is not a "roadable" aircraft.  However, it is easily trailered.  And with an empty weight under 800 lbs, it can be towed by almost any vehicle.

Are there available skis or floats for the Sadler Vampire LSA?
Not at this time.

Are you still using the RotaMax engine?
RotaMax is currently going through a corporate restructuring process and is not providing engines at this time. We continue to maintain a relationship with the organization and hope to offer the rotary engines in the near future. We have no official date as to when that may happen.
